Bearing in mind the game was produced in 1960, the production values were remarkably high. The 25th Anniversary Edition of Monopoly has the following unusual features: The box lid is covered in embossed silver foil paper. The box base is also covered in the same embossed silver foil paper, as is the underside of the board. The money divider tray is made from gold foiled cardboard. There is a red edged Banker's Tray. Each playing piece is provided with its own plastic tray, the trays are set in a red flocked card display unit. The player pieces are fine cast metal and are gilt. Three of pieces have glass jewels set in them. The pieces are: a Basket of Flowers, a Shoe, a Typewriter, a World Globe, a Telephone and a Horse Head. Otherwise the set had standard cards, scrip, plastic houses and hotels and two sets of rules.
